STRIPPED EXHAUST STUD HOLE - IDEAS

Hi All

Just noticed on my LI that the top exhaust casing stud is missing. On closer examination the casing thread is stripped and I can't get a new stud to bite.

My question: - is there any easy repair that doesn't involve taking out the engine, welding or specialist tools? i.e. oversized stud etc

Re: Specialist tools

Right, I've got the steering lock ring tool. :)

The only other thing I can see being a problem is removing the hubs. Is there a special J-range tool available? Apparently it's different to a standard Lambretta hub puller, but I can't see one for sale anywhere.

Do I need it, or is there another way?

Re: Specialist tools

Only thing I can think of is the tool for the steering bearing lock ring but from memory that's smaller than series1/2/3 lambrettas. Decent socket set and spanner set along with some screwdrivers and you will soon have a pile of bits. Have a camera handy, along with some freezer bags and a permanent...

Specialist tools

I'm thinking about stripping down my Cento for a respray.

Can someone tell me if there are any specialist tools I will need?

I won't be stripping the engine or anything, just all the parts which will need painting (frame, panels, fork, hubs, wheels, headset...).

Thanks!
