DVLA Re-registration

I have a 1963 Li which is currently having a ground up refurb. It was previously registered and I have the number plates, but no paperwork, said number not on DVLA database.
What is the procedure for re-registering said scooter and would it be possible to get the number reinstated.

Thanks

Hi,

If you have no paperwork then you need to go down the First Registration route here:-

http://www.ilambretta.co.uk/register.html

You can check with the original County Council issuing Archives Dep't to see if they have records connecting the frame number to the reg' No. If so this document will allow you to retain the reg', otherwise it will be first reg' route as above.

If the archive record does not state the frame number against the registration number, and in my experience it is rare that they do, you could email Kithead Trust. They seem to hold records too.
