Hi all - any suggestions? I have to pour a little fuel in the barrel, and it starts beautifully. But although I have a good spark, it won't kick normally.

Has the scooter been stood and is it old fuel ? Change fuel.
Is the fuel tap working ? Disconnect and check flow rate.
Is the carb' filter blocked ? disconnect and check.
Is the choke working correctly ? Can you see the plunger lifting ?
Take the air bellows off and try kicking with cloth over carb' . does it start ?
Plenty more options but there's a few to keep you going.

I agree with Mick, sounds like it has been standing, decant all fuel, clean carb with appropriate cleaner. Mine does that every time I ignore it for some time. The two stroke oil separates and bungs up the system.
