Sounds like your bogging down .....too much fuel to air ratio...
or it could be stator breaking down........cooling.....then working again.
Have you got a Sticky's manual ? worth getting one and having a read.

Out of curiosity what would be the best set up on the carb,
just looking at stickys book and my carb is set up for a gp150
Slide:7895-2
Atomiser:5899-4
Main jet:118
Pilot:45
Starter jet:50
Would this be causing the problems
