Time warp SX

Postby 911hillclimber » Sun Jul 12, 2015 10:42 pm

Went to a local hill climb to watch and found this on a trade stand.
2 owners, 70K miles, runs and so so nice.
Not for sale, offers well over £10K refused.

No, nothing for sale.
The later scooters were perfectly restored, paint costing £800 etc, but really nice quality throughout.

Unusual to see such scooters all together and he had more as he is a dealer with a bike shop, MoT etc.

Really?

Just paid £134 for all the materials inc a new spray gun to DIY my TV3.

My plan was to keep it under £200.

Having said that, the scooters were an absolutely stunning finish, mile deep paint, and un-blemished.

these were Clive Jones scooters. I heard he had them out for the event at Chateau Impney, just around the corner from Droitwich where he had his shop, and also where he spins the decks for Northern Soul nights.
Apparently he had his red and ochre GP200s there, although no sign of the illusive white GP200E that he is supposed to own.

Yes, Clive's scooters.
My TV3 will go there for an Mot when finished.
We had a Club stand right next to his stand at the Chateaux.
