How do?
My engine mounts have given up on the Jet I noticed on the way up to Kelso at the border point. I rode steady the rest of the way up and back? Anyhow has anyone replaced theirs with out taking the engine completely out, I’m only asking as I’m going to have to do it at home, I don’t have a ramp either. Also who’s using who’s?

We changed the engine mounts by taking the engine bolt out and doing it in situ'. Engine mount tool needed and engine mounts from AF.

Yes it can be done,bit fiddley but possible, I just removed the rear runners & my carb (ts1,as its very close to the mount)& anything else you think might hinder the removal, rear shock off & prop the back end of the frame up with something that allows the frame to clear the engine mounts, large paint tin might do, also a block of wood under the engine to keep it level while you change them . Thanks for the replies I’ve ordered some BGM mounts and a removal tool which will come in handy for the other engine I started last summer.
My is a TS1 and I looked at the Mikuni and new I would need to get it out of the way.

Yes it will definitely be easier with the carb off

with regards to the BGM mounts , a mate has just taken his BGM mounts out as he found the vibration too much on his Ts1,he has fitted Uni ones instead which he said has vastly improved it, hopefully they may have improved them now. good luck

I’m running bgm mounts and found no issue with vibration on mine.

Just remember that you have to heat the area around your engine mounts.

The Ts1 motor my mate runs is in his series 1, which because of the smaller headset transmits more vibes through the bars ( less metal to disperse them) probably not as noticable on slimstyles so if your bike is series 3 model you should be ok

I've just done mine. I put the blocks in the freezer and and later told to also use boiling hot water over the engine (I used a blow torch). Worked fine using tool.

Thanks for all your advise, it took me 1 hour from opening the garage moving the project to the back garden, unlocking, removing panels, rear foot boards, and carb then removing and re fitting the new frozen mounts no heat and a rub of oil. I managed to get everything back together and locked away about 3 seconds before the heavens opened.
