Toolbox door rubber

Have tried to keep this in place with silicone but no use. Any other suitable methods?

If it’s going around the door edge itself I struggled for years to get a piece to stay put with no joy. Got some self adhesive stuff earlier this year off the internet which was easy to fit and has stayed in place with no issues.

I gave up trying the fit a new rubber around a toolbox I was fitting to a new-build. Self adhesive rubbery stuff was much, much easier.

Sorry, I guess you want to do this properly, but I found it impossible.

I bought a toolbox rubber kit off e-bay only because it said something like 'Not like cheap imitations, that convinced me to buy. What a load of rubbish, the only way you would get it to stick would be to superglue it all the way around.

I gave up in the end, I should have complained but didn't!

As built, as far as I am aware, the toolbox door never had them fitted, so the door was not specifically designed to take them. I've seen the 'u' section strip type fitted & the doors tend to bow outwards in the middle sides, causing......leakage

Yes i know the problem i have stuck mine with bostic, job done, but i see they sell them on ebay with self stick now, have fun Paul.
