How long should you leave the scooter engine inflated using a leak down kit.The top end of my engine has been inflated for at least 3 hours and it hasn't gone down yet.

I thinks it’s safe to say you’ve done a good build m8

2 minutes is enough for testing.
I test gas installations and dependant on volume 2 minute test is adequate for most average installations ; and they have a much larger volume than a Lambretta motor!
Allow a minute for stabilisation then a test of two minutes.
Try to ensure a reasonably stable temperature when testing as this will influence the test.

As an aside, if your test at 3 hours hasn’t dropped I’d make sure you are actually testing the motor and not just testing the test equipment!

Leave it pressurised - have a cup of tea maybe a tidy up. If it’s not dropped then your are fine.
I also tend to do a check day after too - not sure why - I just do !
