Kick start shaft help?

Postby weedodger » Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:57 pm

Right.. Old casing was cracked.. Got another one.. Put kickstart spring in.. And kickstart shaft.. But how the hell do I get it to stay in the kickstart ramp thing? When I put the kickstart on.. As if I was gonna kick it over.. The kickstart wants to go up the way.. Instead of kicking down.. It can't be that difficult.. But I'm stumped .. And on my new 2nd hand casing.. The kickstart is a little bit short of reaching the bump stop.. Li casing..

You dont have the kickstart stop screw in the case.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAMBRETTA-CH ... SwzI5bbl4x And you have to pre-tension the spring and then fit the reference pin.Do you have a copy of "stickys" manual,if not I suggest you get a copy,it shows you in detail the kickstart set up.

If you have a later sidecase(series 3)they made the spring diameter larger. And you will need the later kickstart lever.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Innocenti-La ... Sw5HBdd2uu
