Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

MTech and Scootronics external pick-up - now solved

Postby Knowledge » Sun Mar 15, 2020 8:45 pm

To cut a long story short, they don’t work together, which is disappointing.

Coaster suggested this was the case in a post somewhere (I can’t find it at the moment).

Currently debating whether to put the Mtech up for sale.

And neither do Agusto but Anthony did say that at the outset.

Thanks Dickie.

That was probably what I thought I was purchasing when I bought the MTech.

That's the problem with me, my brain isn't what it used to be. I have problems trying to remember whether I bought something at Lidl or Aldi, so there isn't much chance of remembering whether I was supposed to buy MTech or Kytronic.

Who sells the Kytronic?

Break-through. It works.

The Mtech WILL work with Scootronics external pick-up. I have done it.

Anthony suggested reducing the air gap between the trigger and the external pick-up to 0.5mm and it works fine. My air ap was 1.6mm, so no wonder it failed to rev-out.

A good news story. Oh, and the Mtech does the trick to the motor.

Norrie,

It would be worth a try. Report back with your findings.
