Spanish Series 2 Front Brake

Postby shane BBoys » Sat Mar 21, 2020 8:36 pm

Evening.
I have finished building the forks re fitted the mudguard after removing it to feed the speedo cable through the forks, then had another thought how or where do I route the brake cable? I’m certain there was only the 1 hole at the bottom of the forks, I remember clearing all the crud out before powder coating them.
Cheers Shane.

Hello ,
There is a hole in the mudguard near the clamp for the cable to pass through,

Not on mine there isn’t it’s a GRP 1 from Chris and I don’t remember seeing any dimples for drilling that I have on the other stuff from him!
I have however found a photo in the Spanish lambretta book, 1 of those where the bike is cut in half, so I roughy know where to drill, I’ll offer the mudguard up and see if I can work it out, unless anyone has 1 they can stick a tape measure next to.

Cheers Shane.

That is shocking if you were to ride that and live in Swindon the cable would be cut through as it rubbed on the horn casing every other Spaniard I’ve seen the cable is not visible at all.
Cheers Shane.

The small under mudguard should have a hole in it, the hole in the main mudguard needs to line up with that
