Frame mount for the rear shock/damper has threaded , no longer holds the nut. I am hopefully going to see if I can re tap it, possibly to M15, failing that has anyone used one of these ?

If you use one of those drill your pilot hole before you cut the damaged thread off, using the central indent. You will then get the hole central.

, hopefully I can get it to M15 if not I'll have to go with the threaded repair fix

Have tried a m16 die (loosened the tank to move it over to the left to be able to get the die to turn with the die holder handles), too far gone to take a grip.
M15 was just thinking out loud next size down, but I don't think I'll be going down that route now.
Nickw - that could be solution if plan B doesn't work.Going to try a Whitworth thread and see if that will do it
Appreciate everyone's help thank you
