Yes if you find the right person. Shaun Burns did worse jobs than that for me. I recently took a much easier repair to an aluminium welding company round the corner from me. You'd expect perfection in aluminium welding at an aluminium welding company but it was nowhere near Shaun's standard.
Like I say, it's just a matter of finding the right person.

I've only had dealings with Mike a couple of times over the years. My understanding he is a good and trusted dealer. He has a good reputation. As dickie says the person must know what they're doing. I would expect Mike to have that experience. See if he can show you work already completed.

Look for a local fabricator skilled in welding aluminium. There are still a significant number of people with good skills.
Just because they don’t know what a Lambretta looks like doesn’t mean they can’t do what you want provided you clearly explain what you want.
