Scootopia 185kit gearing

Hi all, have a scootopia 185 kit with 22 mm carb ,122 main and 200 slide 7895/1,atom 5899.2 .Varitronic fitted 21* static . Tv 2 wide neck airbox with fast flow air filter.li150 gearbox with 16-46 .Revs through gears ok but not in fourth gear .Is it better to go for 5.0 ratio or back to 5.21 ratio .16-47 or 15-46 not sure best way to go not looking for great performance just better than it is at moment about 53 mph.Thanks for any advise .

I had a Casa185 before my current kit. I ran 15 46 on LI150. Otherwise same set up as you with a clubman. It was quicker than 53mph. I'd have another one if I had a scooter to put it on.

edit... It wasn't entirely same setup, it was on points! I forgot.

I run a 15-46 and li150 gearbox without any problems.

Hi , scootopia exhaust . I thought I’d ask advise before taking to jb tuning . Just won’t rev out in fourth thought it might be a gearing problem . Thanks for replies.

I think this is a gearing issue, and I'd go to standard Li150; 5:21 final drive ratio, cause you're running a 22mm carb
My TV, fitted with an RT195, and essentially the same config as you have (22mm carb, etc..) was running 5:21 quite happily

FWIW I'm changing my GT186; 25mm PHBL, BGM V4, modified standard airbox to 5:1
I'm running recommended gearing (4:89), and I'm having to give it some in 3rd before I go to 4th
I'm looking for a more relaxed ride, per my TV so I'm going to 5:1 on the GT

You should get more than 53mph from a Casa 185. A friends did 62/63mph GPS alongside me. Not sure of gearing though.
