Scooter / Bike event Newark in Jan

Is the classic scooter and bike event at Newark on again in January?

I can't find any ads for it. Well not one that mentions scooters.

I haven't entered an LCGB Club display for this forthcoming show at Newark, neither will the LCGB Club Shop be in attendance.

As far as I'm aware there was still a 'Classic Scooter Hall' planned for the Jan 2015 show, but I've not been included in any details about it.

That's a shame ! me n Sue enjoyed these shows. Nice to catch up wi people and get some much needed scooter drooling done. also its something nice to look forward to, post Xmas...

The prize for Best Scooter Club display is £100, not £750.

Given it is a Classic Bike Show, and the judges are all the club entries across the whole show, how likely do you think it is that anything in the scooter hall may win any of the top prizes?

Unfortunately, after two years of attendance as the most prominent Scooter Club/Club Display, the Classic Bike Show at Newark did not bring in anywhere near the income (or new members) to justify the costs involved in the LCGB Club Shop, and an LCGB Club Display being present, from an informed position.

If it a straight choice between being present at such an event at Newark Classic Bike Show in January, or a couple of LCGB Affiliated Club signing on events during the rally riding season, I anticipate what LCGB members would prefer the Club Shop to be supporting?

Ah .... I ready the following and penny hadn't dropped that it included any bike clubs.

Scooter clubs will be eligible for the Best Club Stand award of £750, clubs voted 2nd & 3rd
will take home £500 & £250 respectively. Individual owners will be competing for “Best Scooter in Show”,
“Best Scooter Display” and “Best in Show”(overall Best in Show competing against bikes as well as scooters),
as each award winner will receive £100!

It's a bit ambiguous.
