Li or DL 150

Ok Gurus
What are the main differences in the series 3 Li150 & the GP 150 engines? I’m looking to use either one of these as a basis for an BGM RT 195 + reed valve kit. Is it worth spending the extra on the GP engine?
TIA

LI has the far better gearbox but you will need to change to GP crank taper.

The GP side casing/clutch is generally preferred.

I'd go with the Li150 - just because of the gearbox.

If you are putting a RT kit on it - you'd be thinking of replacing crank at same time anyway.

Sidecasing on S1 & S2 can be weak around kickstart shaft - but it wouldn't put me off - could always replace with a GP or S3 together with kickstart lever change
