Can anyone confirm the depth of the part where the oil seal sits, down to the small lip that stops the seal pushing right thru ?
Just purchased a new one and on fitting the seal it looked slightly proud, so i removed the seal and the depth im getting using a vernier is 5.54mm, measured by each screw hole.
The old plate measures 6.04mm.
thanks in advance .

Phoned the Designer of these new seal plates and was told that the seal sits slightly proud to push a bit further into the bearing and hallite washer.
who knew !

I have a good, original seal plate but I prefer to use the MB type. I also use the drive bearing with the extra seal.
