Looking for 12v battery reccomenations for a full dc lighting system. Also, needs to fit in standard
Battery tray.

Buy a sealed type if you can.
A friend bought a standard one on line recently and they dont come filled with acid, we tried everywhere to get it filled , bought a sealed type on line in the end.

Bear in mind that most lambretta charging systems are quite primative so they tend to overcharge batteries, especially on touring scooters.
The consequence of overcharging causes the electrolyte to evaporate. A regular "wet" lead acid battery can be topped up with distilled water on occassion to compensate for this loss. A sealed battery cannot.
Sealed batteries are really only suitable on bikes with better than standard regulators but can be used quite reliably if you always ride with the main lights on, to reduce the overcharging effect.
