Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

I have just acquired a 1963 TV175 Series 3 it has been in a garage unused for several years.
I have found out that it still has its original wiring loom, but it has been converted to 12 volt DC with a battery.
On checking the wiring connections everything seems to work okay.
However at the connections around the rectifier I have a twin green wire and a single purple wire left over!!
I have search various Stickys books but cannot find out what to do with these wires.
Any suggestions please?

they're the old green ignition circuit wires, I presume then that yours is a 12v electronic now? if so, & your TV is running, then forget these green ones. The purple wire is now replaced by the brown wire that runs the light circuit back to your headset.
Hope this helps bud.
