Bodywork screws and fixings

Postby Peterp » Tue Aug 12, 2025 11:38 am

Hello all,
I’m a newbie from Wrexham. I was a very keen scooterist in my early years, that’s all I’m giving away but anyone who remembers the Coffee Bar on King Street will sus it,
I’ve just bought another TV175 which needs a little tlc, nothing major but I’d like to get it”right”
The person who attempted to do it up made a lot of silly mechanical mistakes like wrong spec screws wrong length etc etc.
I’ve bought a floor screw kit from Cambridge Lambretta but would like to have a better idea as to what goes where, if you get my drift. Old age is a bugger, and vague memory comes with it.
I’ve searched for a detailed exploded diagram of the above but can’t find anything that helps.
Both MB and Cambridge diagrams differ slightly and to me are confusing me slightly, one is obviously a GP and the other is a series 3.
Apologies for jumping in with both feet asking for help but is there anyone out there with anything that may help me.
Thank you all,
Pete

Welcome. In my experience, the easiest reference point for this is a thin book from the ‘80s called “ The Unofficial Lambretta Manual Update - By Mark Haines”

There’s one on eBay at the moment ;)
