Class push down tensioner

Postby eadmr04 » Thu Oct 09, 2025 8:46 pm

What’s the best way of checking the chain tension when fitting these as a pull down. Just trying to set one up and not sure what’s the best tension and where to measure it from?

If I can get my index finger between the chain and the tensioner, at the ends of the tensioner, I’m happy. Don’t think of them as a tensioner though. They are more a means of keeping the chain from flapping around after the front sprocket has pulled the chain through from the bottom.
