Chroming recommendations

Postby xenia1 » Mon Jun 08, 2026 9:20 pm

Must be concours/ show quality chrome.
I had a lot of chrome plating done by London Chroming 18 years ago now when I did my TV1
and was very pleased with the result. Are London Chroming still known
as one of the best?
I have a new old stock Tv1 kickstart shaft which i need done but due to its rarity dont want to
risk posting it. Im quite happy to deliver / pick up myself .
Im in Norwich so London isnt too far.
Are there others within a reasonable distance who maybe some of you may consider better?
Thanks
Andy

I’ve had and bought various bits from quality chrome over the years and have found that lately the “show chrome” finish wasn’t as good as it had been, I have very recently had a engraved horn cast done by Silvabronz at Alton and have to say it is a brilliant finish, not cheap by any means but if you want quality over cost then you won’t go wrong with them.
If I can work out how to post a picture I’ll put one up.
