That is until I went to take to retract the stand...

It required this mod to one of the two U bend sections:

I've just trial-fitted my ancillotti on the bench this evening. Went on easy, but I have two questions:

1: How can I tell if mine will clear the stand without fitting when in the scooter?

2: What is this lug for in the pictures below?

Question 2: Later casings had another mounting point:

Thanks Chadley. I don't want to cut it off, nor do I want to bend it out the way as it's just a bit of a bodge.

Is there some magic bracket available from somewhere that anyone knows of that will rsolve this?

Sorry Dave, i htink I've just hijacked your thread - oh well.

Did you have to buff it up afterwards?

OK, you did ask.... :D

In various stages of rebuild, no particular order.
The frame/loop, forks, splashplate, toolbox door I got done professionally but my budget took a hit hence reverting to spraycans for the rest. Yeah, lots of cutting it back, polishing etc but worth the effort. Just be patient.

And finally.. I'm really sorry, I know I shouldn't, couldn't resist though.....

hi Dave
any motor above 150cc really benefits from the extra underneath bracket fitted to later engines.
ideally you should remove the bracket and reverse it to fit the plain pillar that you will tap 8mm.
if you don't want to reposition the lug then just make up a spacer between the two which is not ideal but better than no fixing.
