I know there are a few GT186 fans here so I hope someone can answer this
How easy or difficult is it to get the reed block out of an engine that is still in the frame should I need to do it in the field

hello - relatively simple - i've done this before - remove rear shock (and bump stop if possible) to lower the cylinder end.
4 x allen key bolts. The reed block has small cross has screws securing the petals

As above but not all Allen keys can get access. I cut one down to fit. It had a long handle part too which made it easy to turn.
