Gaz.

That looks cool as, can I ask how you yellowed the lens I have a Lucas on my jet and I think that it would look better with a yellow lens?

Cheers Shane.

With great difficulty....

You can buy a special spray, but that would have been easy... I bought headlight film and it was a nightmare due to curves in both directions and the final turn on the edge.

Took 3 very frustrating goes...

If you want to use a film get someone who does it every day.... I would try the paint

Cheers Gaz.

I had seen the film and a guy on you tube fitting it to his lens and also thought spray would possibly be easier.

Cheers Shane.

Bit of an update...

300 miles in became a sod to start... Usual checks, cdi, stator, carb, plug, lead etc.

No avail... So only left with compression.. And yep it was.

As I slid the barrel off I could see the top ring gap was not were it should be. The rings were gapped on assembly and fitted correctly.
It appeared the ring had worn the peg.. Crap peg??
The top was doing the same but hadn't moved.
And spun, but had stayed in the groove.

Stripped it down, put some new rings in the barrel to see what gap was like and it's in tolerance, so will go again on 64mm. Bit worried it may have ovalled the bore, so will get it checked out and see what route.

Anyway it's a Scootopia 185 top end now and needs running in again!! This was fasted way to get back on road.
