Just had my rear hub and front disc hub painted in 2k. It’s quite a hard finish compared to the old cellulose paint of my day.
My question is, should I carefully remove the paint from the mating face where the wheel rim contacts or ?..
Or leave it and keep a check on the tightness of the nuts as I use the scoot.
By the way, the rims are stainles.

You are correct to consider this as failure to do anything can have disastrous consequences. Personally, I just nip them up slightly whilst I am running the new bore in as, at that point, you are always tinkering with something or other
Conversely, don’t over tighten the nuts on the studs.
