Race seat slimline

Hi all. Thinking of taking my two seats off my series 1 and replacing it with a slimeline race seat but have been told I will need to remove the airscoop? Is this true? or is there a way around this? The only reason I want to take off the single seats is i feel to near the legshields when riding and it also feels to high riding position.
Any response would be appreciated.

ive been looking for a similar seat where i can retain the air sccop.
