Ignition switch

Postby STFC » Sat Dec 27, 2014 8:28 pm

Evening, I've fitted a new ignition switch to my Dl 150 today and I'm getting no power what so ever out of the ignition switch on the Orange headlight feed. The Brown Live feed into the switch is all good, as are the earth connections and the main bulb. All wiring colours are matched correctly. I have not refitted the old working switch to rule out my theory( but will tomorrow).Am I right in suspecting a dodgy new ignition switch or am I missing a trick, Its been a long day ! The scooter has 12 volt ignition on the Original Italian wiring loom ..

Maybe I'm unlucky but I fitted a new one last week and the green and blue wires were swapped.

I'd recommend checking each wire to ALL the others at all switch positions.

A right pain in the arse but necessary.
