GP ie: Grand Prix were just badged as this for the UK market, DL (De Luxe) were badged as this for all other countries.

Yep, DL125s came onto the market before GP125 badges were available, hence the GP125 badge being listed as a late-comer in official update sheets, and why a number of DL125s were badged and sold as such here.

It's also not quite right to state that UK had GPs and the rest of the world had DLs. Australia is one example of another country in which GPs were sold, which I have no doubt would also trickle down to NZ and other surrounding areas. It may be more accurate to say that the English speaking world was supplied with GPs and/or those markets that had their demands met through distribution via Lambretta Concessionaires UK (as per Australia).

A little like the old statements about the TV200 being a UK only machine, which we now know to be crap (i.e. TV200 sold in Scandinavia, USA, Greece, etc. etc.), we can make generalisations as to which markets received GP and/or DL but we must take these statements with a pinch of salt.

Never say never with Lambretta!

My 125dl was bought new in February 1971.
I've still got it btw.
There's nothing in the badging that says GP anywhere.
The Legshield Badge says 125dl.
There's also no ink splat on it either

In that case, I'd take it back to the shop and ask for a refund.
