Friday night, 17th April 2015, get together in Saltburn at The Spa hotel (TS12 1HH) which is on a bank overlooking the North Sea, serves food and has a function room where we will have a DJ playing for us from early evening until around midnight.

Saltburn has a few pubs in the town and a couple of restaurants and takeaways. These are all only a short walk from the Spa.
Down towards the sea are 2 pubs (Vista Mar and Ship Inn) and a really good fish and chip restaurant/takeaway next to the pier.
For rooms in Saltburn contact Spa Hotel 01287 622544; Saltburn House 01287 622008 (50 rooms between them) or Tourist information on 01287 622422 for more B&B's.

Saturday morning, 18th April 2015, gather in the Cat Nab car park at the bottom of the bank below the Spa from 9:00am to sign on, pick up your Coast to Coast route and LCGB members C2C goodies. Please bring your membership cards. (Non-members are welcome to join the LCGB on the day, or on the Friday night in the Spa)

We will leave Saltburn around 10:00am and our route will be around 150 miles taking us through the Yorkshire Dales, following some of the route for the 2014 Tour de France Grand Depart, and on through the Lake District to our destination in St Bees. There will be a lunch stop around the halfway point of our Route.

Just a reminder and some additional information;

DJ will be playing from 19.00 until midnight in the function room at the Spa Hotel Saltburn on Friday night.
Cat Nab Cafe opposite the Departure point will be open from 9.00 and has inside seating if the weather is unkind to us.
10.00 am departure.
Lunch stop will be at the Green Dragon in Hardraw greendragonhardraw.com where traditional pub food and refreshments will be waiting for us and roaring log fires. At the rear of the pub is England's highest single drop waterfall. There is usually a charge to enter the woods and walk to the falls but there will be no charge if you are wearing an event wristband.
There is no forecast of any late snow or frost and current forecasts for next weekend are for dry weather-fingers crossed for some sunshine.
Our route will be 75 miles long in the morning section and 95 in the afternoon taking us over two spectacular passes and along the shores of 8 lakes on some of the most challenging roads in Britain and through some of our most beautiful country side,with over half of our route being in National Parks.
There are 13 Petrol Stations on route with the longest stretch between them of 33 miles
Full route details will be given out when signing on.
Toot has everything wrapped up at the St Bees end including DJs raffle, trophies and a change in the usual food arrangements which will reduce serving times.

Wont be long now!
