Hi guys
Bare with me as I am new to this site,my speedo recently stopped working so after a bit of online homework I disconnected the worm at both ends and run it with my drill. This confirmed that it wasn't broken.
I looked into the speedo drive with a torch and it doesn't look square and I can't see it spinning when I turn the front wheel so I have ordered a new one.I suppose the question is if it the speedo drive terminal is it easy to replace or when I remove it will I open up a can of worms ?
Cheers for any advice in advance, chilli

If you're lucky it will just be the drive worm. They pull out without any dismantling of the hub other than unscrewing the housing. If it's the drive ring that's worn it requires the hub to be dismantled. Refitting a new one is often a 'mare as its shrunk fit onto the hub.
