Kickstart issue

Hi fellas,I'm new here. Can anyone help me here.have had the chaincase off my gp and now I have put it back the kickstart falls to the ground when riding along. I did undo the clutch cable and have reconnected it.the scoot kickstart fine but the gears are also bit stiff now(they were fine before) is it a clutch adjustment problem? I have also replaced the brass plunger on clutch arm.could the problem be the kickstart not positioned correctly when replacing the chaincase????? Thanks in advance

The spring keeps it tensioned,so it's either broken or the ends are not fitted in the casing or kickstart shaft.
