4th gear issue

HI guys/ gals....
After 9mths of being stuck in my garage, finally on the road, but....
when riding in 4th gear occasionally it will drop out of gear....
im still running in,....gp 200 new sil engine that ive totally overhauled.
everything seem ok apart from this....

Check the gear selector pivot is the right way round.
When it's right it looks wrong.

Do you have rubber gators on the cables ? If so when in 4th gear the gator could be getting compressed and pushing it out of gear.

Very valid point, my new covers stopped me selecting 4th, cut 30mm of both, ok now.

Thanks ...I changed one inner cable and removed the gators...
just done about 50miles and all seems good, got 360 miles on clock now
was told 500 miles running in period, must admit seems a lot better now
its freed up a bit...appy days....St George run Cambridge ...Sunday....
