Have you tried a BGM one. They are far better quality cable than you get in the normal sets.

I thought it was a Tiger Moth but I'm relying on memories of Airfix.

Tony -you are correct.

Gypsy Moth -sailing boat
Tiger Moth -Interwar biplane

Anyway -aviation grade? Most aviation stuff just uses the best quality teflon lined cables they can buy when their aircraft demands cables and not fly by wire that is.

BGM is more than good enough for Lambrettas.

Wish I'd thought of it as a marketing ploy, easy way to tripple the price of any lambretta part for sure!

I have some aircraft grade 8mm nylocs at £15 for a set of 4 if you like too? :D :D

I use them on my Group 6 Paul - far less chance of a cable breaking on the track.

As far as I'm concerned it's money well spent.

Take no notice of the trolls and boggies ( :o ).

Yes they are more expensive but if you are like me and like to fit and forget it'll be a while before you have to fit another.

They look thicker than the normal cables sold and have the separate lever end attachment rather than the soldered one
Do you know if they fit inside normal outer cables or do you also need a dedicated outer.

Is it these you mean?
http://www.torbaylambretta.co.uk/Aircra ... 42022.aspx
I don't think 6 quid is unreasonable for them, they look decent quality.
They look very similar to the Genuine Vespa clutch inners which I have been using since building my Lammy, much better quality than the soldered nipple pap.
I much prefer the pear ends with the separate nipple. You just have to carry a spare nipple as well as the cable!
I've never had one snap though.
