Could someone please explain to me how many wires go to the back light? I currently have a black,Pink and green wire. The black and pink are both connected to the bulb holder but the green is not doing anything. Does the green wire need to be connected also? Cheers Newbie. It's a TV 175 series 2.

Green is an earth. Your light fitting is fitted on top of a rubber gasket so its relying on the 2 bolts that bolt it to the loop for ground. If you scrape some paint off the loop round the nut you can ground it to the same bolt. I tend to then put another green from that bolt back to the regulator so I have a continuous earth but I'm a bit anal

Cheers MK Monty. I think I know what you mean. The problem I am having is that the front lights are intermittent and the back lights don't work at all. I have just checked the rear bulb and it's blown(6v15/3w). I have just ordered all new 6v bulbs for the Lambretta for peace of mind.

I have all wiring diagrams for each model if you need any more. They are in Sticky's book.

Thanks Colin I have just been reading through Stickys manual. I have taken some photos of the wires and the bulb holder but will ask the advise of one of the electricians in work tomorrow. Cheers

It is running 6v but I'm not sure if it's the original stator. The speedo light is connected and working as is the green light on the headset.

Time for the voltmeter set to AC put it on any of the lamps that are blowing and a good ground point and see if the regulator is doing its job. Sounds like its not regulating it at all if so you can get over 12V out at revs that will blow your 6V lamps. I may be wrong but I'm sure they used a 12V lamp in the speedo to soak up some of the volts and spikes

Thanks again MK Monty for your advice.
Just had another check on the light situation as I have replaced the rear bulb.
With regards to the rear light, the brake light works lovely when the lights are not on or just the side lights are on.When I switch on the main lights or the main beam the rear light or brake light don't work. I have just noticed that the speedo light is not working. Any idea's?
