Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models
by bricky36 » Wed May 13, 2015 8:24 am
10.30 last night my Italian 1963 Li 125 series 3 arrived, well chuffed.
Only one question, It has a tv/sx headset, horncast and front mudguard.
Does anyone think I should change this back to LI, or don't bother, and would it affect sale price if I was ever to up grade.
Thanks for any input
Alex

check the frame nos, if its a LI125S/SX125 then the body work's standard for that model.

No MPH on a speedo is for new vehicles.

I dont know about the value of a pure LI against a hybrid. But you would make a few quid selling the tv sx bits and buying an Li ones.

Depends on what you like & why you are building it.
This is my opinion
They won't be authentic on a restoration, but if it's a bike to ride and your not worried about the quirk then keep them.
I have a restoration which limits what I can do to it, I also have a bitsa which is my riding bike, I can change stuff round without bothering too much

I do have the LI bits, so I might just experiment, and see what looks best.
