heat seizure

Postby garynonnah » Tue May 26, 2015 5:02 pm

Hi all..
Seems I had a partial heat seizure, running GP 200 standard, only got 700 miles on clock,
thought running in period was over, approx 20miles into my journey, and doing approx
55-60 on straight road, it made metallic noise and stopped. Pulled in clutch and stopped
straight away.
Took out plug, and seemed ok goldie brown colour, let the engine cool down, and turned engine over
without plug, and seemed ok. So took gamble as was 10 miles from home. Started scoot, and carried on
my journey, without a problem, but was careful not to open it up to much.
So is it worth dropping engine and removing head/barrel.....
