Hi
I have S1 Li 150 with a PHBL 25 carb. It has run great since I put the carb on 3 years ago but not used it for about 9 months and now it just will not run smoothly unless I have the choke out. It starts first kick and i warm it up but when trying to move through the gears with no choke it bogs until I get some revs going. I have drained the old fuel and put in new and still does it. Would be grateful for any ideas on what to look at.
Thanks
Dave

As above, if it was mine I would strip and clean the carb, also clean and regap the plug or use new one and replace the fuel (which you've done)

Ok thanks I'll do that. Didn't really want to mess with it because had it setup perfect and not an easy carb to get right.

But you're not rejetting it at all, all you are doing is stripping and cleaning it and the jets. They all go back in the same place, the only adjustments will be the slide screw and air screw and to ensure you put them back at the same position all you have to do is wind them in and count exactly how many revolutions in they go until they stop eg 2 turns or 1 and three quarter turns. Then you know when rebuilding to simply, put them in all the way then wind back out the same number of turns.
If you're worried about simply stripping, cleaning and rebuilding a carb I suggest a mate that knows how to do it for you or you're going to end up with a lot of bother.
