Mikuni TMX35 advise

Recently built a TS with a Mikuni TMX35, seems ok so far done around 300 miles. Spluttered to a halt today, thankfully on my drive, petrol spewing out overflow on front of float bowl. Presuming float issue. Took float bowl off but cant see anything obvious. Anyone suffered similar or got any ideas. Possibly re set float height, if so how ?? Never had one of these carbs before so its a learning curve. Thanks in advance for any thoughts

I've had this. Carb was about 6 years old at the time. Changed float and been ok since.( 18 months ago )
Is it an old carb?

Brand new, going to have a good look today, but cant understand why its suddenly happened

Just a suggestion but i had a problem with my tmx35 a while ago ,petrol pissing out and eventually found that there is a small clip that is attached to the float valve needle and it connects the needle to the float arm , said clip kept comeing away from the valve and stopped it closeing ,tightened the clip onto the needle and it cured the problem ,hope this makes sense .

Seem to have sorted it, clip mentioned was slack,also noted float height was possibly wrong but not sure about this at the moment, as you know I've built loads of motors over the years but never had one so bloody jinxed

once you've set it up bruv you'll find the economy & throttle response to your liking
