Hi' I'm running a sil Gp 150cc engine with a 185cc barrel & 28mm Dellorto PHBH carb, everything was fine until it just started to start in reverse
:( :o :o how the hell do I stop it and make it start correctly ,,,,,, help I can't go to the IOW backwards

check your timing

.......or get some decent rear mirrors :)

Caused by Change in temperature

Hi Teglease,
Timing too far advanced.The 1960's Messerschmitt buble car had two sets of points to advance timing so that it could reverse.You had to stop press a button or something and it then used the second advanced points to reverse engine.Fortunately Lambrettas were never fitted with this feature :lol:

The flywheel may have sheared the woodruff key and have slipped.....in effect causing slipped timing.
