Hi
l am a new member and need some advice I have a s3 and would like to fit front dampers I am considering using fork links with damper connection are these difficult to fit.

If its a series 3 Li,TV,SX,you will need a fork spring compressor,if its a GP or later SX with damper rods and ball bearings its possible to remove without a fork spring compressor.

The first one you do may take you up to two hours, much cursing and bruised fingers.

The second one about 10 minutes.

Make sure you use a decent compressor tool as there are some crap ones on the market.

be careful which links you use there were some nasty sand cast ones about . tried fitting a set for someone and one snapped where the spindle goes during fitting .
