Hi could anyone give me any ideas how to treat rust but keep it rust looking.

Try ACF50, it preserves and prevents more rusting. It does leave an oily sheen that dulls the original finish.

it was designed to keep US airplanes rust-free on carriers, or so I'm led to believe. Good stuff. Go for the pump and bottle of stuff rather than the aerosol, as it's a lot more economic, About £35. Turns rust black. no complaints here.

If it has rusted to the stage where you like it , you can give it a coat of2k lacquer and use some matting agent to take the shine out but it will give you a protective skin.

This is what we do to vw s

I've used Ankor Wax on mine with ACF50 in the hard to get to places, hasn't altered the look at all
