I think Original box exhaust brackets were spot welded into place prior to assembling the body of the exhaust, spot welding is usually more reliable.
But that's a decent looking exhaust you have there, let me know how it runs on the big block engine it's going onto.

yes it sure is a good looking exhaust . I'd like it better if it had a chromed tail pipe but then I'm a retro kinda guy.

oxy Acetylene and brazing could be a good option when initially constructed provided the bracket joint isn't subject to a lot of vibration and under stress when mounted.

Tig with a micro torch is the way to go and you have to wonder what sort of back street garage operation these exhausts were constructed in if they haven't got access to professional welders and equipment. my feeling is that the brackets are welded onto the exhausts at a different place to where the boxes are constructed.
