Has anyone put a GP 150 gearbox into a 200 engine and if so what front and back sprockets have you used, also what's it go like. I'm building an engine and have a Italian GP 150 gearbox, just wondering if I could use that instead of buying a new gearbox.
Thanks

I use a GP 150 Vijay Super gearbox in both of my scooters, one is a 200 and the other is a small block 185.The gearbox is the same as an Indian GP 200 except for 4th gear.I use a 47 tooth clutch sprocket and an 18 tooth front sprocket, they both run very well.

Italian GP 150 ratio's are slightly different to Indian Vijay 150 boxes., There is a considerable gap in ratio's between 3rd and 4th gears, which may cause you issue.

I agree with Scotty. The GP150 'box does not have a good reputation, with the biggest %age gap between 3rd and 4th of any gearbox. It does not work well on revvy engines.
The Vijay 150 box has a smaller gap between 3rd and 4th, but a much bigger gap between 2nd and 3rd. I think this is correct..... something like 33% rise. Huge, but perhaps this is manageable on the road.
