I've got an original Spanish 20mm carb, question is- it has a small rubber type washer fitted to the float valve, does this washer sit to the inner or the outer side of the float? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Just checked my two Spanish 20mm and an Italian one - none of them have any washer or rubber on the float valve?

Have you got a picture?

you must mean on the float chamber?

as jetex carbs have a gasket

definatly float needle/valve, I've not seen one on this part before either, also doesn't look like its something that's been added at some point??? Sorry haven't got a picture & have had to put carb back together, went for outside edge of float, (bound to be the other way!)fingers crossed.
