Kickstart spring

Hi all

What's the best way to remove the kickstart Spring ?

Seems mine is quite a tight fit...don't want to ruin it by forcing it

Use a spring pulling tool, hook next to the spring end,if the spring is really stuck you'll need to apply a lot of force,
the secret is to hold/secure the cover tight,
if not,
when the spring will be removed, the cover will probably fly in the air :)

my eyesight is getting worse ,I am adding words to your question .
Gentle levering and some wd40 or the old heat gun to gently warm things up might ease things

It's usually not that hard to remove. Once you take the circlips off the outer side of the shaft and tap it through it should just pop out.
