Just read this thread and insanely curious to know if the problem was ever identified and/or resolved.
Hats off to you Bilko for the perseverance. If it was mine, it would probably be a smoldering pile of molten metal by now.

Any news,
Coaster would have sorted out the stators. Is she running now, let us no, the suspense is killing me, and I am sure everybody else, and I thought I had problems. Good luck.
Cheers

Actually I'd like to know myself, Bilko sent me his collection of stators and CDI's (4 of each I think). I tried all the CDI's on my Avanti and all were fine. Tested all the stators and they were all good apart from one which had a dry joint on the LT coil I think (it was a while ago now

I got in touch with Bilko today.
He said to pass on his apologies for not getting back to everyone but he hasn't touched his lambrettas due to family and health problems.
I'll try to give him a boot up the arse and a helping hand this year.

The scooter takes second place under these circumstances, I'm sure Bilko will update us when he's ready.

HEY NO TOUNGUES! But thanks for asking!
Finally getting myself back together and finished rebuilding one of my other engines. So put i tin yesterday and wired it up and.............
Still nothing. Everything has now been changed. There's nothing that hasn't been done except one thing.
So I'm going to bring the LI into the kitchen, strip it right down and replace the loom. That's the only thing that hasn't been changed.
I half expected this to happen, glass half empty and all that.

Good to see you back on the forum mate. Sorry I didn't get back to you last week I was darn saaf with the youngest. Spun a ring on the curry burner in West Limerick and ended up hiring a royal Enfield for a few days to carry on our trip. Keeping it Indian

Thanks Marty, no need to apologise mate. Family first.
Hope you're all well.
Friggin kitchen's a disaster zone with the Lammy in and all that goes with it. Bit if an embarrassment to be honest. Hope I have no visitors for a month or so!
