cable routing - carb TS1 side

Postby DaveTomo » Tue Feb 09, 2016 8:24 pm

Just after some advice (or pictures ideally) . Never had a carb on the right hand side, always been standard on the left. Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on the best way to route the gear/clutch cables and rear brake cable please.
Have bought one of the extended top hats for the rear brake cable,so I'm assuming the best way is round the back of the carb manifold? gear/clutch cable under the carb ?
I know it may seem like silly questions & the people I knock around with all have their carbs on the left hand side- have tried google but can't seem to come up with any decent pictures. Appreciate any help/advice/pictures.Thankyou

I have a PHBH30. My gear and clutch cables go under the carb.

The extended top hats are often a very good idea, however, you don't always need them, it depends on the length of the rear brake cable outer. I have an MB manifold and the cable sort of rests on the top or just above, I think.

The throttle usually takes quite a bit of fettling to get right. That is often dictated to you by the tank you are using.

Lastly, Knowledge (Martin) on this forum sells a good choke cable for a TS1 side.

Hope this helps :)
