Yeah I think your right Johnny. I've literally changed everything I can with regards to the fuelling so it has to be electrical.

The wiring has been a problem in the past by the looks of things as the lights are always on no matter where the ignition key is placed.

Electrics arent my strong point by any stretch.

Checked the carb everything looked ok, noticed the fuel in the fuel pipe was bubbling with a big air gap. Switched it over to res,off and on no difference.
Hi Kris,
Do you have a kink in fuel pipe when sitting on machine.
Have you shone a bright light into the tank (LED torch) and looked inside especially where tap filter pokes through for any debris that might be clogging the filter.
As Adam Winstone suggests disconnect green wire to ignition switch especially as you have problems with the ign switch. You will have to stall the machine to stop engine.

Any ideas anyone?

It's a clean replacement tank and a new tap, I did think it could be the tube catching under the engine mount as soon as my fat arse was on the bike but it wasn't.

Will go through the electrics when I get a chance.

With a full day spare, I decided to start looking at the fault on the TV.

I've removed the CDI and noticed a loose earth wire not attached, could this be a problem?

So the wire to be removed is the top green wire is that correct?

Finally is the fuel hose too long to push fuel into the carb?

Fuel pipe is fine. Gravity fed and fluids always find their level.

Cheers.

So I've done the 3 tests listed in the Stickys Book above.

First test. Result. . 5
Second test Result. 96.5
Third Test. result. 456

So I'm guessing all is fine there.

Your CDI should be earthed to the frame. The white wire provides an earth via the stator base plate. You should also have a braided earth between engine and the frame.

Right so I don't think I've got any earth's apart from CDI to base plate.

No I haven't got another one.

I've disconnected the green switch wire so I'm going to try that out now.
