Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

Hi, The stand on my GP sits almost vertical ... not good as a slight push from behind will knock it over.
This is the 2nd one that does it..
is the only answer to reweld the lugs at a slightly different angle?

Just sit on it a few times on the stand, they'll soon bend.
The stand should be almost vertical, see page 169 Sticky's book.

mudwing washers between the u-bracket and outrigger will gain you a few degrees, try 2 each side at first rather than heat treatment.

i was just being an anorak Digger
penny washer is about the size of a penny (no surprise there) but for this job a bigger diameter might be better to spread the load more even if it means cutting a flat on it.

Peejay is what you would call "old" as he used to race horse drawn scooter sidecars @, wait for it,
Scooter only racing events!
You get to a certain age & think in Roman numerals so nobody knows how old he is, for sure.
You'd probably have to chop off a limb & count the rings......
